Foot Care & Orthotics

The feet are the foundation of the body and absorb a significant amount of impact throughout the day. When the bones of the feet are not properly aligned, it can affect the way the body moves and may contribute to pain in the ankles, knees, hips, and lower back.

At Edelstein Family & Sports Chiropractic, we perform thorough foot evaluations to assess alignment, movement, and overall function. Because each foot contains 26 bones that must work together properly, even small misalignments can create stress throughout the body. During a foot exam, we evaluate how the feet move and identify areas that may be contributing to discomfort or imbalance.

Before custom orthotics are created, the bones of the foot are adjusted to help restore proper positioning. This ensures that the orthotics are designed to support the foot in its correct alignment rather than compensating for an improper position.

Foot care and orthotic treatment may help with:

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Heel pain and arch pain
  • Foot and ankle instability
  • Gait or walking imbalances
  • Lower back, hip, or knee pain related to foot mechanics

Custom orthotics are designed to support proper foot mechanics, improve overall alignment, and reduce stress placed on the rest of the body. By addressing issues at their foundation, we help promote better movement and long-term comfort.
